Obituary of Roy George Tibbo
The death of Roy Tibbo of Quispamsis, NB, husband of Shirley (Mullins) Tibbo, occurred on Wednesday, February 20th, 2008, at his residence. Born in Harbour Breton, NL, on November 1st, 1936, he was the son of the late Phillip and Elsie (Day) Tibbo. Besides his wife, Shirley, Roy is also survived by one daughter, Esther Reynolds (Andrew) of Quispamsis; two sons, Wade (Angela) of Harbour Breton, NL and Shawn (Barbara) of La Scie, NL; two sisters, Lydia Hardy of North Sydney, NS and Bernice Hilliard (Robert) of Conception Bay, NL; two brothers, William Tibbo (Juanita) of Gander, NL and Rev. Canon Wilson Tibbo (Lillian) of Conception Bay, NL; four sisters-in-law, Margaret Tibbo of Harbour Breton, NL, Margaret Mullins of Fortune, NL, Frances Keeping of St. John’s, NL and Ruth Baker of Dartmouth, NS; one brother-in-law, Calvert Mullins (Pat) of Corner Brook, NL; seven grandchildren, Marsha, Lorna, Emily, Katie, Keegan, Wyatt and Shauna; one great-grandson, Ethan; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by three brothers, Thomas, Basil and Alexander. Arrangements are entrusted to Kennebecasis Select Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB (506) 849-2119. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 24th, 2008, from St. Augustine’s Anglican Church, Quispamsis, at 2:00 pm. Burial will take place in Newfoundland, at a later date. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
