Obituary of Ronald Howard Holt

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of “Ronnie” Holt of Quispamsis NB, husband of Cathy (Dupuis) Holt, which occurred on Wednesday, July 18th, 2007, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, after a lengthy illness. Born in Saint John, NB, he was the son of Isabel (Boutilier) Holt and the late William Holt. Ronnie was an avid golfer, played minor hockey, North end little and senior leagues, played for the Saint John Junior Senators, Labatt’s hockey and baseball teams; as well as, spending time coaching house league and middle school basketball in the KV area. Besides his wife, Cathy, Ronnie is also survived by two daughters, Laura and Kelly, both at home; one brother, Ricki (Lynn) of Moncton; two sisters, Wendy Robertson (Drew) of Fredericton and Kim Wolter (Mike) of Winnipeg; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Ronnie also leaves behind three very special people–his golf buddies, Gary Kuske, Robbie Northorp and Mark Magleave, who golfed, as a foursome, nearly every Saturday for over twenty years. Here’s to you guys for your faithful friendship. Resting at Kennebecasis Select Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB (506) 849-2119, with visitation on Friday from 6-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 21st, 2007, from Kennebecasis Funeral Home Chapel, at 10:00 am. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, donations may be made to the ALS Society, Children’s Wish Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
