Obituary of Donald Richard Smith

The death of Donald Smith of Hammond River, NB, husband of Sandra (Murphy) Smith, occurred unexpectedly, at his residence, on Friday, April 21st, 2006. Born in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of John "Jack" and Helen (Palmer) Smith of Gagetown, NB. Don was employed with Household Movers, retiring in 1999. Besides his wife and parents, Don is survived by two daughters, Kim Hanson (Jeffrey) of Campbell River, BC and Kelly Dobson (Derek) of Quispamsis, NB; two sons, Kent Smith (Sonya) of Elkford, AB and Rob Murphy (Sandra) of Grand Bay-Westfield, NB; three sisters, Heather Stevens (Mark) of Cody's, NB, Susan McAllister (Peter) and Linda Smith, both of Fredericton, NB; nine grandchildren, Katelyn and Kiley Ketchum-Hanson, Nicholas, Ryan and Merina Murphy, Jenna, Gillian and Gregor Dobson and Madelyn Rose Smith; as well as, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Resting at Kennebecasis Select Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB (506)849-2119, with visitation on Sunday from 7-9 PM and Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 25th, 2006 from Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Hammond River, NB at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Peter Gillies officiating.
