Obituary of Cecil Corey Sleep
The death of Cecil Sleep of Quispamsis, NB, husband of Doris (Clark) Sleep, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, February 13th, 2006. Born in Canaan Rapids, NB, he was the son of the late Corey Joseph and Emma Jean (Keirstead) Sleep. Cecil was a member of St. Luke's Anglican Church, Beaus and Belles Square Dancing, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 58, volunteered at the KV Food Bank and was a Veteran of WWII. Besides his wife Doris, Cecil is also survived by three daughters, Cindy Thompson (Bruce) of Quispamsis, Cathy Bresson (Joe) and Jody Murdoch (Alex), both of Fredericton; one son, Terry (Susan) of Rothesay; three sisters, Violet Wilson of Saint John, Lena Greenwood (Stuart) of Youngs Cove, NB and Vera Blackwell (Bill) of Rothesay; four brothers, Harold of Cumberland Bay, Leon (Bernice) of Coles Island, Angus of Hampton and Gerald (Winifred) of Hamilton, ON; nine grandchildren, Angela, Melissa, Michael, Kelly-Lynn, Ryan, Joshua, Christopher, Ian and Connor; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, Ralph and Alvin. Resting at Kennebecasis Select Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB (849-2119) with visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 58 will be holding a Tribute to a Veteran service on Tuesday at 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 15th, 2006 at 1:00 PM from St. Luke's Anglican Church, Quispamsis Road, Quispamsis, NB. Interment will take place in the Church Cemetery, in the spring. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick.
