Obituary of Mary Barbara Montford
Montford, Mary Barbara - Passed away after a full life, on Saturday, October 22nd, 2005, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Barbara was in her 91st year - she was the daughter of the late Jarvis and Catherine (Donovan) Dibblee. Barbara resided in Quispamsis and previously was a long time resident of Nauwigewauk. She was predeceased by husband, Walter; son, Charles and sister, Anne. She will be sadly missed by her daughters and sons-in-law; Donna Brewer (George) of Brockville, ON, Regisann Myton (Randy) of New Westminster, BC and Elaine Gilchrist (Chris) of Quispamsis, NB ? loved by her 4 grandsons - Rod, Randy, Raymond and Riley and her 4 granddaughters ? Coleen, Jennifer, Melanie and Chantal. She was known as GG to her 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. Missed by her life long best friend - Helen Keegan. Barbara is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Barbara was a long time employee of MRA's and a member of the Catholic Women's League, Ladies Auxiliary and Nauwigewauk Darling Seniors. Barbara loved to travel, play cards and always enjoyed comradeship with anyone she met. Resting at Kennebecasis Select Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB (506) 849-2119, with visitation Sunday from 7-9 pm and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Vigil prayers will be held on Monday at 8:00 pm, at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 25th, 2005 from St. Mark's Catholic Church, Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, at 10:00 am. Interment will take place in St. Alphonsus Cemetery, Hampton. In lieu of flowers, donations to the IWK-Grace Health Centre, Canadian Cancer Society, Kidney Foundation of Canada, Nauwigewauk Education Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice, would be appreciated by the family.
