Obituary of Bill Baker
With heartfelt sorrow, the family of William “Bill” Dale Baker, husband of Connie (Davenport) Baker, announce his passing on Monday, December 14, 2020, at Kings Way Care Centre.
Born on January 17, 1948, in Perth Andover, NB, he was a son of the late Vincent and Katherine (Dee) Baker. Bill was employed at a Stationary Engineer with Irving Pulp and Paper for several years until his retirement. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 6766. Bill enjoyed bowling with the Fairview Seniors Bowling League, playing soft ball with the Quispamsis Slow Pitch Soft Ball League and upon retirement he enjoyed golfing and repaired bowling balls.
Besides his wife, Bill is survived by his daughter Kimberly Hennessy (James) of Rothesay, brothers; Earlen (Glenna) of Perth Andover, NB, Ken (Renelle) of Sussex, NB, Eric (Lydia) of Caledonia, ON, sisters; Betty Fournier (Alex) of Perth Andover , Susan Baker of Fredericton, and Kathy Goin (Jerry) of Pefferlaw, ON, grandchildren; Tianna and Makayla Veinot, Elizabeth and Jacob Hennessy, son in law Wayne Veinot, his beloved Davenport and Gallant Families, as well as several nieces and nephews. Bill will be missed by all who knew him.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, his daughter Melanie Veinot, sister Anna Morrell (Lorne), sister-in-law Janet Nason, and brother-in-law Vincent Davenport.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119), with visiting on Thursday, December 17, 2020 from 4-8 PM. Funeral home staff will be available at the entrance to assist with Covid-19 protocol. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church on Friday, December 18, 2020 at 1:00 PM. For those who are unable to attend, the funeral will be livestreamed on Bill’s obituary at: www.kennebecasisfh.com. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Kings Way Care Centre, Kennebecasis Neighbourhood, or to the Knights of Columbus Council 6766.
