Mary, we were sad to learn of your mother's passing on Facebook. I didn't know your mom. But I know what it is like to lose a parent. You were there for me when my father's health was failing. If only I could return the favor. But Covid19 has made it impossible. Please know Ron and I are thinking of you, Johnny and your family. We all look forward to seeing our loved ones again under better conditions. Love from June (Tays) & Ron Alyea.

Hello Weezies Family,
I wanted to contact you to say how sad I am to hear of Weezies passing.
I am Wanda Grace (Allen) Soumang and my Father was Weezie’s brother Mahlon (Dubby) Allen.
Your Mom was so very sweet to me when I was at home on one of my visits with Gwennie in the later years of our lives ( meaning Gwennie and I ) as I moved to Vancouver B. C. When I was 14years old and truly do not know very many of my relatives. I lived with Gwennie, Frank and Allen when my Dad died till my Mom was able to get us all back together again. Well over a years time and Nancy and Donnie took care of Marcia Lee and Grammie and Grampie Allen had Valerie just to help you understand who I might be. :).
Your Mom and Dad had Gwennie and I out for a salmon dinner on one of my visits and it was so lovely to meet my cousins again. Not a lot of us that day but it was a fun visit and a chance to spend time with everyone. Gwennie always speaks of Weezie and Marcia with me and all of their children too. Gwennie truly enjoys being able to see and speak with some of Weezies girls.
A few years later all of us girls went to meet at the Reversing Falls Bridge restaurant and it was such a great time for both Gwennie and I. It was lovely that Weezie and her daughters and Marcia were able to come for the lunch visit.
Please know that both myself and Gwennie are thinking of you all.
My condolences to your family,
Wanda ( Allen) Soumang

We were so sorry to hear of Eloise's passing. She was a lovely lady. A visit with her was always a highlight of Noreen's assembly or convention. You will all feel her loss, as a mother, as a sister, and a friend. May Jehovah and his love sustain you at this time.

What beautiful memories I have of Weezie... I often said to her “it’s because of you that I found Jehovah and his people “ She always replied, “Oh Heather, you always say that”. And I’d say, “ let’s have a drink and talk about that !” I have loved her and her lovely Saint John accent since I was a little girl So sorry for the pain all you kids are feeling now.

Having spent many hours in the Costello home as a child from the age of 5 until I left Saint John as an adult, I have nothing but the fondest memories of Eloise. The word that describes her best to me is gracious. She took me in like one of the family, showing such kindness and generosity, so naturally, especially after the death of my father, and yet never once letting me know that she was doing me such a great favour. I don't think she really knew what a positive affect she had on my life..I did get to thank her many years later and, with her typical graciousness, she dismissed it all as if it had been nothing.
What an amazing reunion the Costello family will have soon! I'd feel privileged if I could just stop in to say "hi" at that one! Weezie will be sadly missed for sure, but what comfort we have in knowing she's in Jehovah's memory. 2 Corinthians 1:3,4

To all the children of Eloise-
I first met Bob and Eloise way back in 1958, if my memory serves me well. They were living in Ononette near Westfield.
Being about 10 years younger than they were, I was somewhat amazed that they accepted me as a new friend. They had
three kids at that time, Dianne, Lynn, and Patsy. I often went fishing and hunting with Bob. As a result, I ended up spending some time staying at their home. Later, I often babysat for them as they and their friends, such as the Laidlaws, went out on the town for an evening. Eloise was always so kind and accommodating, such a nice person! They helped me as an adolescent, to develop into the person I am today.
If she were alive I would say "thank you Weezie for being such a nice person. We shall meet again soon, I trust. Just one more sleep!" "Thank you, also, for my daughter-in-law and for my three beautiful grand daughters."
