My deepest condolences to you all. My heart breaks for you. Marilee had to be one of the strongest and bravest women I have ever met. I will keep her and all of you in my prayers.
One of my fondest memories is when her and the boys would come down and swim in the pool. Watching them all laughing, splashing and having fun made my heart glow. She loved her boys so much!. One thing that amazed me about Marilee was that she always had a smile on her face and never had a bad word about anyone or anything. The world needs more people like Marilee. It would be a much better place.
God Bless

I am saddened to hear of Marilee’s passing.
As our 30th High school reunion comes upon us, I have been reflecting on those days and the friends I made during this time.
Meeting Marilee and spending time with her always is one of the cherished memories from those times. Talking about her horse and spending summers at Circle Square Ranch.
Sadly we lost touch over time, but she still popped up in the oddest places... Friends from SJ that knew her... I see she was a Scout leader (something I currently am).
I remember her being a strong in her faith. I hope that gave her comfort during her times of need and is comforting you all in her passing. She is in a good place.
My deepest sympathy.

Marilee was my music teacher when I first started at Milledgeville North School. She is an amazing music teacher and I am really sad to hear that she passed. I wish her family well. I loved her that she was my music teacher. I honestly am gonna miss her so much. She was such and amazing music teacher. I dont know where I would be today without her she has thought me so much in music. I was in the choir with Marilee at Milledgeville North School, marilee taught me how to sing and she was an amazing choir director. Marilee had cancer and she fought it and she beat it and then it came back. Marilee is an amazing person and an amazing music teacher. I am gonna miss her so much and it is gonna be different without her in this world. I had her as a music teacher from grade 3 to grade 5 and she was so good at it. Marilee taught me how to do a lot of different things in music. I miss her so much. She always made her students smile. She always made me smile, and it always made my day when she made me smile. She used to call me ms. smiley. I remember when she first got diagnosed with cancer, the whole school was devastated. I loved to see her at the Christmas concerts after she got diagnosed with cancer I always smiled at her and waved and when we were dont I would always give her a big hug. At one of the Christmas concerts we sang a song just for her and it made her cry, but then after we finished singing everyone gave her a big hug.

Marilee and I were new teachers together at Hazen-White Saint Francis Schoo in Saint John (1997 - 2000) and later, met again as city choir singers and as a pair of sopranos in Maureen Beckwith ‘s Our Lady of Perpetual Help choir. Man, she was tiny - but MAN, was she mighty. Biggest personality I’ve ever met. The kind of personality that drew people close without a word, with an energy wake twenty feet around her in every direction. The kind of person that, if she liked you, she adopted you on the spot. Her students adored her and she nursed every bad day, sick tummy, temper tantrum and broken heart among them like it was her own. They were all lucky to have her looking out for them and they knew it.
To her boys - she loved you with all the fire of that huge heart of hers. You were her pride and joy. She is gone away now - but you better believe she is still gonna be your fiercest and best advocate, and your rock. Just look for her. Everywhere. 1000%, she’d be agreeing with me on this right now, and telling me to tell YOU.
She once told me, she and I prayed LEGIONS OF ANGELS upon HWSF school to protect it and watch over it, so its students would be well and safe forever. How much more will she bring down for you - her pride and joy... God bless her heart... and that Legion of Angels and then some, to you both. (From me, too)
Be well - my most heartfelt condolences to you and your family - Kim Horgan

Dear Dow , Marjorie, Logan, Duncan, And family,
We watched and prayed as your beautiful Marilee fought a courageous battle with cancer. Defying all odds she fought her way to attend many events the boys were involved in. We watched with tears in our eyes as she made her way into the armoires to witness another event for Logan and Duncan at cadets.. We were privileged to be able to drive the boys to cadets from Rothesay. We enjoyed much laughter listening to the banter in the back of the car. We were privileged to meet Dow and Marjorie during their times with Marilee and the boys in Quispamsis. Marilee has gone to her heavenly home but we know her spirit will be here with Logan and Duncan as they move forward with many beautiful memories of their loving Mom
Our thoughts, love and prayers are with all of you.

Marilee was an amazing teacher, so vibrant and alive in the classroom. She told me over and over how much she loved her classes and choirs. She did a long-term supply for me in one school, and the principal was enthusiastic about her, to say the least. I had a lot to try to live up to when I returned! God bless, her, it just doesn't seem fair that she was taken from us so soon. Maybe the angels wouldn't wait any longer for her voice to be added to their choirs. May she rest in peace. She earned it after so much struggle. My condolences to the family--her boys especially.
