Bonnie, I was sorry to hear of Doug’s passing. I remember Doug from University, he was in the year after me. I always thought of him as being a good guy. At my dad’s wake he made a point of taking the time to have a conversation with me about our fathers which I really appreciated.

Dear Bonnie,
Doug was a great guy, although I did not k ow him well.
The kindness of Doug that I remember, is a few years ago, when se were celebrating Aunt Shirley's birthday, at Donna's. I was starting to walk over to the cabin, and saw some dogs. Doug must have noticed that I hesitated, so said he'd drive me over.
I was so grateful, for that, which was more than just a small gesture to me, given my fear of dogs.
Loss is so hard to bear.
Prayerfully thinking of you,
Cousin Lynda

I appreciate the opportunity in meeting and spending time with Doug. He was great to talk with, and had some awesome stories to tell. Doug appreciated life, was adventurous, and up for anything. He loved his kids, spoke of them often, and of course his sweet Bonnie, he would do anything for. One thing I thought was so sweet was how Doug would make Bonnie a cup of tea in the mornings while she was busy getting ready to go to work. A thoughtful and sweet man, with a loving spirit and the best boyish grin I have ever seen.
Again, I am thankful for the chance to know and spend time with Doug , he was
loved by many and most certainly be missed.
