To Pearl’s family I give my sympathy. I worked beside her at the mushroom farm when I was a teen and we shared many giggles. We had races to see who could fill a box first! She was a fast picker! Now my mom has company in heaven over the quilting frames.

The loss of a mother is probably one of the hardest. She becomes your best friend throughout the course of your life. Pearl is finally at peace and reunited with Bill which will probably become your greatest source of strength and comfort.
Lots of love and prayers are being sent to you, Deb, and to the whole family. XOXO

So sorry to hear that Pearl has passed. I remember her best at every KVQG show over the years, presiding at the quilt frames and patiently explaining to visitors the quilting process and encouraging people to sit down with her and try putting in a few stitches. She and Phyllis laughing at each other across the frames as they sat with heads down stitching for hours. Golden memories.

Pearl was one of my quilting mentors ever since I first met her in 1986. Becoming one of John’s Girls was an honour when I returned to NB in 2008. Hard to believe both Phyllis, and now Pearl, are gone. But never forgotten! We will always have our memories of Pearl, even in her later years, showing us a project she had quietly finished! She was very productive and to the end enjoyed seeing and talking about quilts. I was honoured to have had a part in finishing up her beautiful medallion quilt. So happy she got to see it before she died.
Condolences to all her loving family. We will miss her so very much!
