Quispamsis Community Tennis Club posted a condolence
Thursday, July 4, 2019
It is with a sadness that we learned the news of our friend Janet Reid's passing on Wednesday of last week.
Janet was a long time member of the Quispamsis Tennis Adult Games program. She started playing in our club in 2009 and was a valuable volunteer for our tennis. She was the Director of our Adult Games program for many years and she often volunteered to help at our Tennis NB sanctioned Quispamsis junior tennis tournaments. She was passionate about tennis and took many clinics to help improve her tennis skill. Her presence on our courts will be sadly missed.
A donation in her memory has been made to the Tennis Canada's #WhatItTakes - "Support our Future Canadian Champions" program. Tennis Canada directly supports junior tennis programs at the Quispamsis Tennis club.

I enjoyed Janet and her enthusiasm for dance very much. Many the day I was so grateful at line dancing that she was there for me to follow! She had a memory like a tack to remember the steps. We met a couple of times in the oncology dept at the regional as we awaited treatment and she was always so friendly and cheerful. She will be missed by many and always remembered with a smile. Sincere condolences to her family. RIP Janet.

My condolences to the family on the loss of Janet. I met Janet when she and Ross lived in Manitoba and Marlon was only 9 months old in 1974 (when I was married to Steve ,Ross's brother). We shared some holidays/summers one in New Brunswick on the bay,in Oakville on their trips east and at Sandbanks provincial park camping with other members of the Reid family including Robert and Michelle, and their mom Julienne who died of breast cancer in her thirties.
A cancer diagnosis is always a devastating life changer and I understand that Janet handled it bravely.
Thinking of you and the family at this difficult time.

So sorry to hear of Janet's passing. I spent many Sunday nights driving to the west side with Janet to attend Sue's country line dancing.
Peter and I have fond memories of Janet dancing at our Latin line dance class in Quispamsis. She loved to dance ! She was very supportive of line dancing and was always there for the dress up nights and social parties. We will miss her smile.
