We are so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. What a blessing Bill was to us, as your new neighbors on Green Rd so many years go, he looking after our home and insisting on introducing us to your U.S. home, Pirate Land Myrtle Beach which will be a constant reminder of this gentle man and his influence on our lives. May you rest in comfort knowing Bill has fullfilled God's work among us and has inherited God's promise where we will all in due time be in one another's presence. Rest eternal grant unto Bill O Lord, and let light perpetual shine upon him, Amen

Gary, so sorry to hear of your loss. I remember digging under car hoods on Green Rd, with your father looking over our shoulders. He always seemed like a car guy. Good memories. My best to the rest of your family.

Lynn, so sorry to learn of your dad's passing. I will always remember our times at your home on Green Road. Every spring when I am planting my flowers, I appreciate once again all the work you and Joan did for me in planning it. Think of your dad then as well, the stones he made, are still an intricate part of the flower bed. As it happens, Joan was just asking me last week if I ever hear from you or see you. A shame we all drift apart as we did share many good times. Please remember me to your Mom and the rest of the family. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Mona & Tom

Today we lost an extraordinary man. The one whom, I'm sure, I inherited my love of history and travelling from and hands down, one of the most interesting men I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I am going to miss hearing my grandfather's history lessons and about all the pranks he used to pull as a young whipper snapper.young

A true road warrior, he took his family from one side of the continent to the other to explore nature and the great outdoors. Often accompanied by his faithful hounds, he enjoyed watching the sunrise every day from his spot on Myrtle Beach. His greatest love was that of family and he indulged in and shared that love with all of us with hours of story telling and reminiscing. Although we are heart broken to lose him, we thank him for the gifts and memories he gave us to pass on to the next generation.

Dear da, you taught me how to change a tire and pump my own gas, stand up for myself and speak my mind (you might have regretted that last one).My love of travel, sense of direction and that tiny stubborn streak comes from you too. You were a great role model and I tried to follow your example with my own family. The day you told me I did a good job raising my own kids- that was one of the best compliments. Love you and miss you. Love from your girl Sam ( used to hate that nickname!)

Summer's haying with uncle Bill always put a smile on my face think of the time spent laughing while working and eating mom's homemade war cake. Dad getting at Bill with his annoying country music full blast in the truck is a special memory to remind me that people can work along side each other and enjoy time spent together sharing many many laughs along the way.......what a loss for your family.

Little did we know that morning God would call your name In life we loved you dearly In death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left peaceful memories, Your love is still our guide. And though we cannot see you, you are always by our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same. But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again. Love always.
