Obituary of Giovanna Scichilone

With sad hearts the family of Giovanna Scichilone of Rothesay, NB, announce her passing which occurred on Monday, July 20, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on April 4, 1936 in Aragona, Sicily. She was the daughter of the late Giuseppe & Anna Maria ( Graceffa) Scichilone. During her working years, Giovanna was employed by New System Laundry and School District 6. She was devoted to her family and to her church. Giovanna is survived by her family; Serafina (Carmelo Mattina), children and families; Enza, Joe, Anna Maria, and Joe. Dominic (Valerie Babineau), children and families; Anna Maria, Joe and Mary; Maria (Silvestro Salamone), children and families; Josie , Jerry, Joe, Mario and Frank; Rosario (Sharon Clifford) children and families; Joe and Jessica; Salvatore (Angela Rizzo) children and families; Anna Maria, Giovanna and Giuseppe; Calogero (Pasqualina Salamone) children and families; Anna Maria, Giuseppe and Maria; Filippo (Pamela Saunders) children and families; Keith and Scott; and extended family; Giovanna Graceffa; children and families; Maria, Filippo, Margherita and Salvina. Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB (849-2119) has been entrusted with the arrangements. At Giovanna's request there will be no visitation, a Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at St. Mark's Church at 10:00 AM. A private family interment to take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Kidney Foundation or to the Donor's choice.
