Treva, words cannot express how sorry I am for your loss. After reading Fred's obituary I can see his influence on your life. You have the same spark for life and work ethic as Fred. At this difficult time find strength in the wonderful memories and stories of Fred. Remember the good times and celebrate the amazing life he had with his loving wife and extended family. Take comfort in knowing you will see him once again and he will be waiting for you with open arms. Hold Florence close and be strong for each other. Sending hugs, love, and prayers to you and your family.

Fred will be always known to be as Poppy. He was a man a had a tremendous amount of respect for since the day I met him. Time may have drifted us apart, but I will never forget being referred to as his "little jack-ass", which was started during a game of cards. My heartache is nothing compared to that of the family, you are all in my thoughts. Rest peacefully, Poppy.

I was sorry to read about Fred's passing. I remember many summer days that John and I spent piling slab wood at the saw mill, and Fred screaming at John for taking lumber to build "forts". I remember one day in particular when a pulley belt broke and caught Fred in the face. He was one tough bugger. A lot of happy memories and I can't imagine a better family to grow up beside. Fred's was a long life well lived - peace and warm wishes to you all.
