Obituary of Mark Perry McCully
It is with great sadness that the family of Mark Perry McCully announces his sudden passing on December 29, 2017 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Born in Saint John, NB on June 20, 1955, Mark was the son of Martha (Saunders) and the late Bruce McCully. Mark is survived by his loving wife of 39 years Paddy-joe (Dever), sons Christopher (Sarah) and Matthew (Nicola), brother Jeff (Karen), sister-in-law Mary Ann Hudson, his four nieces, and his three beautiful grandchildren, Everett, Amelia and Emily, whom he loved dearly.
Mark worked at the Saint John Iron Works until its closing. He was a 42 year member of the Kennebecasis Valley Fire Department, retiring with the rank of Captain in August 2016. He was a member of the Kennebecasis Lions Club and owned & operated Mark McCully Machine Shop for over 30 years. He was an avid NASCAR fan was a member of the Atlantic Modified Tour, driving car #15.
Mark is resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Tuesday, January 2, from 2-4 & 6-8PM. A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Augustine's Church on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 11 AM. Interment to take place in St. Luke's Cemetery at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, or the Kennebecasis Valley Fire Department's Muscular Dystrophy Foundation.
