Obituary of Viola Elizabeth Marie Hachey
Hachey, Viola – It is with deep sadness the family of Viola Elizabeth Marie Hachey of Saint John announce her passing on February 24, 2025, at Cohen Hall in Saint John, NB. Born on November 18, 1933 in Tracadie, NB she was the daughter of the late Marcel and Francoise (Vantour) Hachey. Her family moved to Saint John in the early thirties. At a young age Viola moved to Montreal and worked in a Hospital there. Later in life she moved to the area of Saint George of Beauce Quebec. Years later she moved back to Quispamsis and lived in the Cohen Hall-Shannex Nursing Home in Milledgeville. Viola was a great fan of tops and loved her TV
Viola is survived by her only son, Wally Breen (Valorie Raymond), her brother, Ivan Hachey of Quispamsis, her sister, Geraldine Chiasson of Moncton, her grandson, Ron Breen and several nieces and nephews.
Viola is predeceased by two brothers, Anthony and Larry Hachey, her sister, Leona Cullum and her beloved daughter, Winona Breen, who passed away in 1955 at the age of two years old.
Resting at Kennebecasis Funeral Home, 152 Pettinghill Rd, Quispamsis NB (506-849-2119). Visitation will take place at Kennebecasis Funeral Home on Thursday, March 6th from 4:00-8:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Rothesay, on Friday, March 7th, at 11AM. Arrangements are under the care of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home.
