I first met John when I joined the men’s hockey team that he managed…the Saint John Rangers. John managed the team for many years and continued playing into his late 60’s. I always enjoyed his company and he was a great spirit on the team.
On behalf of all the players who have ever played for the Saint John Rangers we offer our condolences to all those close to John

So sorry to hear of John’s passing. My condolences to John’s family. I knew John through tennis, his Mustangs, and the occasional beer at the Rothesay tennis club.

Sorry to learn of John's death ... first met him in 1959. He attended SJ High, I went to St. Malachy's .. but we both played in a Combined High Schools' Band, directed by Paul Murray. John played a strong trumpet. Later we would often chat at the Marr Irving .. reminisce about the "band days". Very friendly man, with sense of humor. I liked John.

Hi, Sorry for your loss. I knew John from the It Store, Irving Marr Road (he bought apples from me) played hockey against him in old-timers hockey and got to know him better playing tennis with and against him. It was always a pleasure. R.I.P.
