




Obituary of Warren Douglas McKim
McKim, Warren, – It is with great sadness the family of Warren Douglas McKim announce his passing on February 21, 2025 at Embassy Hall, Shannex in Quispamsis, NB. Warren was born in West Saint John on March 5, 1927, the son of the late John Ivison McKim and Maude Louise (Christopher).
Warren was employed with Furness Withy, Furncan Marine Ltd. For 47 years, retiring as manager of the Saint John office in 1992. Aside from his marine duties, he was an ardent aviation enthusiast having commenced his flying activities at the old Millidgeville Airport in 1947. He was a member of the Turnbull Chapter of the Canadian Historical Society and a past member of the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association. Warren loved the music of the 40’s including the Big Band era and played the trumpet and saxophone in several local dance orchestras. He loved magic and was a member of the Magic Circle Club.
Warren will be sadly missed by his daughters, Kathleen (Steve) McKim-Dawes, Nancy (Rick) Dobbelsteyn, Mary (Doug) Murray, his sons, Michael (Joanie) and John (Becky) his twelve grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Warren was predeceased by his loving wife, Margaret (McIntyre), his brothers, Murray and Wilbur and his sister, Grace (Wilson).
Arrangements are under the care of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (506-849-2119).
