Obituary of Jeffrey Frederick Daye

After a long and courageous battle with cancer, the family of Jeffrey Frederick Daye, husband of Kathy (Brown) Daye, announce his passing on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at the Sussex Health Care Centre, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on October 6, 1962, in Saint John, he was a son of Roly and the late Marjorie (Kelley) Daye. Jeff was so proud to work in the family business Roly Day & Sons Ltd. Used Cars for almost 50 years,  from the age of 12. He then was employed as a Parts Specialist at Eldridge Holdings Ltd., where he had the opportunity to pursue his passion for motorcycles. Jeff was a kind and loving man who loved his children and was always willing to lend a hand to help anyone who needed it. He enjoyed animals especially dogs and was predeceased by his girl Marlee. He was a book of knowledge and couldn't be beat at any Trivia game. Jeff would know the model and make of a car no matter how far away it was.  Jeff and Kathy enjoyed their special dates which usually included Sunday drives and picnics in the country, either in an antique car or on Jeff's Harley. Jeff will be missed by all who knew him.

Besides the love of his life, Jeff is survived by his children; TJ (Bailey) of Grand Bay-Westfield, Dylan (Tory) of Saint John, daughter Jessica Howe of Calgary, stepchildren; Ronnie Oldfield (Andrea) of Quispamsis, Sacha Joyce (Trevor) of Quispamsis, and Ashley Doyle (Dr. Rob Doyle) of Port Williams, NS, brother Dwight Daye (Beth) of Quispamsis, his adored grandchildren who called him "Grampy Jeff", Maryah, Madison, Lochlan, Hawksley, Rowan, Laine, Cayden, Leah, Henry, his father in law Bill Brown and his wife Judy, as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

In keeping with Jeff's wishes, there will be a private Celebration of Life that will be held Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, (506-849-2119). For those who wish, donations in memory of Jeff can be made to the John T McMillan Jr. Memorial Foundation
