Obituary of Inez Diva Gorman
It is with great sadness that the family of Inez Gorman announces her passing, which occurred peacefully on December 31, 2016 at Embassy Hall, surrounded by her family. She was born on February 3, 1926 in Burtt's Corner, NB. Inez was the wife of the late Jack Gorman and the daughter of the late Charles and Jen (Foster) Burtt.
Inez was a hard worker, doing housework in her younger years, the family then moved to the Kingshurst Farm in Rothesay, where she worked in the dairy for several years. One of her main enjoyments was spending her summers at Wally's with her husband and family.
Inez is survived by her son, Peter and his wife Paulette, grandsons, Preston (Kim), Phillip (Jules), great-grandchildren; Allison, Taylor, Ben, Hayden, and Terra, brother Ralph (Sadie) Burtt, sister Kay Hallam, sister-in-law Anne Burtt, also by several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Jack, brothers, Edwin (Laura), Ashley, Cecil (Effie), Raymond and Alton, sisters, Hazel Dunphy, Gertrude Reid (George), Marie Burtt, Annie Burtt and Shirley Crandall (Doug).
Inez's family would like to thank the staff at Shannex Embassy Hall Quispamsis, for the excellent care and compassion over the past 15 months.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB (849-2119) with visiting on Friday, January 6, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. A funeral service will take place at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 1:00 PM. Interment will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor's choice .
