Obituary of John Kenneth Fullerton
It is with broken hearts that the family of John Kenneth Fullerton share news of his passing. John lost his nine month long battle with brain cancer on December 29th, 2016. Born on January 9th, 1949 in Saint John, he was a son of the late Kenneth and Jean (Cody) Fullerton.
Throughout his life, John was never far from his beloved Kennebecasis River, and it was within sight of the river, that John passed, surrounded by his loving family. Patty, Cody, Melissa, and Mark were constant companions for John on his last journey. His grandchildren supplied him with many hugs, which is all he ever asked for. John left this world knowing he was loved by many. The loving prayers, spiritual guidance, thoughts, cards and meals from family, friends, Father Doug, Father Don, Investors Group Team and clients were greatly appreciated and always made John smile. Many thanks to the Oncology Team at the Regional and the Extra Mural Staff, whom John called the "A Team".
John wore many hats throughout his work life. His entrepreneurial spirit led him down many paths, including Fullerton Enterprises and Fullerton Developments with his dad Kenneth, Fullerton lumber with cousin Terry, Fulson Holdings with best friend Larry Jackson and finishing his career with Investors Group, where he worked tirelessly for his many wonderful clients. Throughout it all, John could be found most mornings LISTENING to stories and sharing a smile with the boys at the coffee shop.
John is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Patricia (Northrup), his three children, Cody, Melissa (Chris), and Mark (Jacqueline), and seven grandchildren, Benjamin, Angelo, Jack, Zoe, Bella, Elizabeth, and James, who meant absolutely everything to him. John is also survived by Patricia's mom, Kathleen Northrup, his three sisters, one brother, eight sister in laws and eight brother in laws. John was predeceased by his parents Jean Cody, Kenneth Fullerton and father in law Malcolm Northrup.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB (849-2119) with visitation on Wednesday, January 4 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 171 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 10:00 AM. John will be laid to rest near his parents at the Long Reach United Cemetery during a private ceremony at a later date.
