Obituary of Peter Anthony Bushey
The death of Peter Bushey, husband of Laurine (Britten) Bushey of Quispamsis, occurred unexpectedly on Saturday, October 8, 2016.
Born in Kingston, Ontario onJuly 25, 1939, he was a son of the late Leonard and Dorothy (Michelson) Bushey. Peter and Laurine owned and operated Kings County Home Care for several years. He then was employed with Brenan’s Funeral Home. Peter was an avid Blue Jays fan, and loved to travel with his wife, that took them all over the United States.
Peter will be missed by his loving wife of 29 years, his son, Jodi Meinert (Celine) of Rothesay, daughters; Carrie Hughson (David) of Quispamsis, and Shelley Bradley (Bob) of Sussex, sisters; Penny Bushey, Wendy Beard (Terry), Terri Berube (Charlie), brothers; Gary Bushey (Denise), and Nikki Bushey (Marline), one granddaughter Olivia Bradley, four grandsons; Jessie Bradley, Luke, Asher, and Marcus Hughson, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Peter was predeceased by his sister Patsy Clarke.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 from 2- 6 PM. A Private Family graveside service will take place at Greenwood Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, Multiple Sclerosis Society or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
