Obituary
Obituary of Raymond Vernon Haslett
Ray died suddenly on August 17th at the age of 84 in his long time family home in Quispamsis. Ray was predeceased by his brother John and his sister Dorothy. He will be greatly missed, but will always remain in the hearts and minds of his brother Roland and sister Irene, sons Alan, Eric and David and grandchildren Dana, Kevin, Ryan, Michael, Caitlin, Rachel and Nathan.
Ray was a medal recipient in his graduating class of Chartered Accountants and was a long time member of the Riverside Country Club. Ray very much enjoyed the quieter things in life: meeting new people, reading everything he could get his hands on, walking around his cottage property, and writing poetry about the various wildlife he would see there (occasionally exaggerated to include cougars and panthers!).
Ray's family and his card playing friends will miss his humour and his continuous quest for knowledge.
There will be a private service held in Ontario where his three sons and grandchildren live. For those wishing to donate in his memory, Ray was a 10 year cancer survivor and a gift in his memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, (849-2119).
