Obituary of Ronald Walter Babineau
The death of Ronald Walter Babineau of Rothesay, NB, husband of the late Elaine (Gill) Babineau, occurred on Monday, August 1, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Born on October 18, 1943, he was a son of the late William and Pearl (Williams) Babineau. Ron was an engineer with the School Board for forty years until his retirement in 2005. He was a man of all trades, he owned Rem Tec Electronics and enjoyed fixing electronics and was a licensed lock smith. He loved working around his home and yard and feeding his animals. Ron enjoyed bowling and bowled with the School board league and Friday Fun League for many years. He enjoyed reading, soduko, listening to Sea Dogs games on the radio and time with his animals.
Survived by his son Michael Babineau (Rachel) of Rothesay, brother Steven (Mary Dawn) of Moncton, sisters; Valerie Scichilone (Dominic) of Rothesay, Nanette Dunham (Mark) of Hampton, and Bonnie Allen (Robert) of Hampton, sister-in-laws; Gerri Driscoll, Doreen Boyer (Rick), Judy Jackson (Bob), and Gert Gill, several nieces and nephews, and good friend Ian Tytler.
Besides his wife, Ron was predeceased by his brother Bill Babineau, sisters; Barbara McIllwraith (Ron), and April Hovey (Mack), sister-in-law Hilda Mills, brother-in-laws; Buddy Gill (Winnie), Merv Gill, and David Driscoll, and good friends Louis Daigle and Gerry Boyce.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Wednesday from 7 - 9 PM and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, on Friday, August 5, 2016 at 11AM . For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the SPCA.
