Obituary of Gilbert Douglas Beyea
It is with great sadness that the family of Gilbert "Bert" Douglas Beyea of Quispamsis, husband of the late Josie Beyea, announce his death which occurred on Monday, May 30, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Born on April 19, 1938 in Quispamsis, he was a son of the late William and Jessie (Fraser) Beyea. Bert was employed as a Foreman at Irving for several years until his retirement. He took great pride in gardening and enjoyed fishing. Bert was a member of Hampton Golf and Country Club since 1972.
Bert is survived by his son Jamie (Tammy) of Hampton, grandchildren, Benjamin, Brittany, and Brooke, brothers; John (Dorothy) and , Jim (Bertha), sisters; Connie Chestnut, Bea Beckwith, Doreen Saunders, Judy Kallar (Bob) , and Linda Silliphant (Bill), special friend Paula Binette, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his loving wife, Bert was predceased by his brother in laws, Ted Chestnut, Ed Beckwith, Ozzie Saunders, and sister in law, Joyce Beyea.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
