Obituary of Julia Yvonne O'Dell
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Julia Yvonne O’Dell, beloved wife of Clifford O’Dell, announces her passing which occurred on Monday, November 30, 2020, at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Julia was born on September 22, 1940, and was the daughter of the late Dorothy Campbell, step father Sterling Dempster and was predeceased by her father Roland Campbell when she was a small child.
Julia will be remembered as a strong, confident woman who had a “no fuss” attitude. She was a member of TOPS for 25 years and she worked hard as a stay at home mom, raising her family and making her home comfortable to all those who knew her. Julia was a natural cook, who could add a pinch of this and a dash of that to make delicious meals for her family and friends. Julia enjoyed entertaining and sharing her baked goods especially her homemade breads. Julia and Clifford shared 60 years of marriage together, where they made many memories and shared special moments that Clifford will keep in his heart forever.
Julia is survived by her husband, Clifford O’Dell of Hammond River; sons, Tim (Terri) of Riverview, Peter (Elizabeth) of Nauwigewauk, daughter, Marsha (John) of Quispamsis; grandchildren: Matthew, Zachary, Ashley, Christopher, Kirk, Mitchell, Chloe, Hailey and Natasha; great-grandchildren: Owen, Creighton, Bella and Jones; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, her siblings ( Dorothy and Larry Campbell) and her son, Kirk Douglas O’Dell.
Julia’s family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Maloney, Dr. Allaby and the awesome nurses of St. Joseph’s 8th Floor, your kindness and care will not be forgotten.
