Obituary of Gordon Vaughn Wilson
The death of Gordon Vaughan Wilson of Rothesay, NB, husband of Patricia Wilson, occurred on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Bobby's Hospice.
Born in Moncton on June 10, 1938, he was a son of the late Perley and Margaret (O'dell) Wilson.
Gordie was employed with the Provincial Government for several years with the Liquor and Tobacco Commission. He enjoyed playing pool, auctions and yard sales.
Besides his wife, Gordie is survived by his daughters; Pamela Johnson (Archie) of Halifax, NS, Holly Doucet (Robert) of Saint John, Kelly Sutton (Robin) of Woodman's Point, step daughter Aimee Melanson of Rothesay, step sons; Dorian Melanson (Michelle) of Quispamsis, and Matthew Melanson (Lauren) of Victoria,BC, brothers; Buddy Wilson of Moncton, Terry Wilson (Sue) of Moncton, and Boyd Wilson (Shirley) of Ontario, sister Sherry Scott (Evan) of Moncton, three grandchildren, six step grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Gordie was predeceased by his brother Roger Wilson.
A celebration of Gordie's life will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 1:00PM from Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home Chapel, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting one hour prior to the service. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Bobby's Hospice.
