Obituary of David John Edward Betteridge

Surrounded by his family, the passing of David John Edward Betteridge, of Quispamsis, husband of Susan (Roberts) Betteridge, occurred on Monday, July 20, 2020, at his residence.

 

Born on June 24, 1947, in Cedar Camp, NB, he was a son of the late John and Jean (Kyle) Betteridge. David was manager of Lockhart’s and then was employed Hampton Home Hardware for several years until his retirement.

 

Besides his wife, David is survived by his sons; Neal (Mary King) and  daughter Olivia of Saint John, and Mark (Brooke) of Maine, beloved grandson Noah, sisters; Lynda Nice (David) of Quispamsis, Sharon Guitar (Wendal) of St. Stephen, Valerie Hutchins (Vaughan) of Sussex, and Nancy Betteridge (David Steele) of Quispamsis, brothers; Douglas (Nancy), John (Brenda), and Paul, all of Quispamsis, several nieces and nephews, and his furry companion Bently.

 

David was predeceased by his sister Judy.

 

The family wishes to thank; family, friends, Extramural and special thanks to niece Kelly, for all their compassion and care.

 

Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Thursday, July 23, 2020 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Staff will be available at the main entrance of the funeral home to greet and assist you with Covid-19 protocol. A celebration of David’s life will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 2PM at David and Susan’s residence at 130 Chamberlain Road, Quispamsis. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
