Obituary of Billy Wright
William “Billy” George Wright, died peacefully on Monday, June 29, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on May 1, 1953, in Saint John, he was a son of the late Douglas and Margaret (Irvine) Wright. Billy was a member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Rothesay. He was involved with the Vocational Training Centre for many years and enjoyed spending summers at the Rotary Camp. His ability for unconditional love was surpassed by none and will be remembered by all who knew him. Billy had an outstanding ability to put a smile on your face and loved to play jokes.
Billy is survived by his brother Irvine (Heather) of Rothesay, and sister Esther McKnight from Auburn, NS, nephew Jeff McKnight (Ellen) and their children; Brooke and Sarah, nephew John Wright, niece Debby Chaffey (Dale) and their children; Crystal, Timothy, Mathew and Michael, and great great nephew Theodore, as well as several cousins.
Besides his parents, Billy is predeceased by his brother in law Burton, and niece Jill Greene.
Arrangements are under the care of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119). Visitation will be held on Monday, July 6, 2020 at Kennebecasis Funeral Home Chapel from 12:00 – 2:00 PM. Funeral Service will follow at 2PM. Interment to take place at St. Luke’s Anglican Cemetery, Gondola Point. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Camp Rotary.
