Obituary of Alice Vivian Tait
Alice Vivian (Steeves) Tait, formally of Riverview, NB, passed away on March 14, 2016 at Embassy Hall, Quispamsis, NB.
Born in Pleasant Vale, NB, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Jennie Steeves. Alice was employed by T. Eaton Company Ltd. for over 30 years. An enthusiastic collector of antiques for many years; Alice would attend Auctions, Yard Sales and Flea Markets. In recent years, being closer to her family, she always was able to attend and enjoy all functions and activities.
She is survived by her son David Tait of Rothesay, NB, daughter Janet Tait (Willi Knaus) of Dunster, BC, sister-in-law Elsie Steeves of Synton, NB, grandchildren; Devin Tait (Josee), and Dr. Aaron Tait (Elizabeth) both of Rothesay, NB, great grandchildren; Andrew Tait, Morgan Tait, Sydney Tait, and Aidan Tait, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Earl, sisters; Wilda Mitchell, Inez Colpitts, Freda Shaffer, and brother Lewis Steeves.
In acknowledgement of Alice's wishes, no visitation or funeral service will take place. A private family interment will take place at Alderwood Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119). For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or to the charity of the donor's choice.
