Obituary of Richard Evan Hatt
In loving memory of Rick Hatt (B.Sc., B.Ed.) of Rothesay, who passed away on December 18, 2015. Born in St. Stephen, July 22, 1950, he will be sadly missed by his mother Thelma, sister Cindy, sister-in-law Nancy and nieces Christine (Jaime) and Shelly (Ryan), as well as great-niece Adalyn. Predeceased by father, Joseph and brother, Randy.
Rick was a talented teacher, well-loved by many in the Rothesay area. His love of teaching was shown as he devoted many hours mentoring and tutoring his students. He organized several district track meets and science fairs and coached teams at Rothesay Park School where he retired from his career after 27 years of teaching. He continued to be involved in the life of the school through volunteering. Special thanks to friends Frank Hand, Brian Lee and Bob Cotterill.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Monday, December 21, 2015 from 2 to 3 PM, followed by a service at 3PM. Donations in Richard's memory may be made to P.R.O. Kids, Saint John or to the memorial of the donor's choice.
