On Tuesday, May 4th, 2021, Reilly Wortman of Rothesay passed unexpectedly at his home. Smiley Riley was born in Saint John, NB, on January 27th, 1998, and leaves behind his broken-hearted family: his parents, Jody (Beth) Wortman of Summerside, PEI and Wendy (Greg) Doran, of Quispamsis, and big brother Geoff, of Rothesay.
Reilly graduated from Kennebecasis Valley High School in 2017. For the last three years, he has enjoyed building his career at Cochran’s Country Market, where through his hard work, he moved his way up as assistant meat manager. When he was not working, Reilly could be found playing guitar, jamming with his dad and his brother, and hanging out with his friends. He genuinely loved music, enjoyed playing video games, loved watching UFC, and was tech support to the whole family.
In addition to his parents, Reilly will be greatly missed by his loving partner, Melissa Simpson, of Quispamsis. He will forever hold a special place in her heart. Reilly will truly be missed by all who knew him, not the least of whom are his grandparents, Donnie and Nancy Waugh, and Ross (Brenda) Wortman, his close friends, Rhys Hawker and “the boys”, and Harpy (his rescue cat).
